As you all know, Affiliations are an exchange of site banners where as two sites agree to support and recommend each other.
Unfortunately, the staff here at Memento Mori are well aware that many sites fall victim to inactivity and end up dying all to soon.
There are even times where sites die a day or two after they make a request to be affiliated with someone, and during these occasions our site will have to wipe the slates clean of your banner and replace it with something else. Obviously, staff have better things to do than to go through every one of their affiliates and make sure that the sites are active, therefore our rules for affiliation are going to be straightforward, clear, and strict.
Already, you may be dreading the thought of having to go through some unnecessary measures just to be affiliated with us, but this is not true. In fact, the rules are quite simple, you are just required to show some respect, patience, and to follow them without question.
Firstly, keep in mind that when you affiliate with Memento Mori you are agreeing that you will recommend our site to those who's request meets the criteria of our site. By having our banner up, you are like a friend to us, and obviously, even in real life, friends don't always come by easily.
Friends help each other out. Friends do not discriminate each other. Friends respect each other.
THE AGREEMENT:
Do not come here, take our banner, post it on your site, and then come onto our site every other day and complain about the site being inactive because no one was on in the past day or so. We have lives, and not everyone of us has the time to scan through other sites just to see who has been online in the past few hours and what they have been doing.
Sorry, but we are not zombies to the outside world. Get over it.
Do not redistribute our banner to anyone. Our banner's code should not be displayed anywhere but on our site. Our creations do not belong to anyone but ourselves, and that includes our banners, so do not hand it out like candy.
Who photographed/created the images you used on your site? Really? Lets keep it that way.
Do not let us go to your site just to see a bunch of stolen art and images that you should not be using.
We do not want your gang of lifeless trolls coming onto our site to leave rude, anonymous messages.
In return for the respect, we promise to recommend your site to those that are searching for a place that matches your genre. We agree to respect the staff and members of your site as well as to respect the wishes and demands that you may also have for affiliation.
THE BASICS:
- Your banner should be 88x31. DO NOT complain about us re-sizing your banner if it was not the correct dimension or if we removed the border from the code.
- Your site should have a pleasing layout. I don't want to see anything where as it looks as though your graphical skills decided to take a massive "dump" on the original proboards or invisionfree layout.
- Your banner cannot have a border unless it was embedded into the image itself and not part of the code.
- Your site must have at least ten active members.
- Please be straightforward as you complete the sheet below. I do not want to see things like: "Oh, we would really, really, really love to be static!!!!!!" I don't care, and that also means that I am not interested in affiliating with you because you want to be obnoxious about it.
- Be literate, please. If you use chat speak while you are trying to affiliate with us we are going to think low of you as well as the rest of the members on the site.
- If you are affiliating with us, you must be an administrator on your site. If not, then do not bother. We want only an administrator to fill out the following form so we know that the agreement between our sites is legitimate. I don't want to go onto your site, ask for an admin to discuss something like, perhaps, switching a new banner over the old one, and them not having any idea who we are or where our banner is located on their site. I don't run your site so I don't want to have to describe to the administrator of it where our banner is located on their site.
- Please, only roleplay sites.
- Do not change our request form in any way.
