The Jungle

The sense of euphoria is nature's biggest deception. Here lies another world that goes beyond one's wildest imagination; a place where the plethora of bright hues among the flowers and the vivid wildlife is none but a feint. The jungle is heavily threaded with various vines of ivy and grape that extend to the ground from high into the canopy. Colossal trees that have witnessed the death of many eras lean and bend their hefty branches to conceal and block every path and line of direction. Clinging to the trunks and undergrowth are a variety of exotic orchids and other flowers, most of which flourish along side the streams and ponds that are littered throughout the jungle's expanse. Those that choose to explore this world will get lost in its unrealistic beauty; orbs of light glow during the night to light up the forest and guide the way of weary travelers. Sometimes seen as fairies or spirits, it is during lunar hours that they appear, just as the sun sets, and float aimlessly through the woods in uncountable numbers. Vanishing if they are touched like a ball of flame, any who do not stake residency in this terrain would be mesmerized by the benignity and fantasy that the jungle presents with its strange presence of wildlife and sprites, however, it is until you get lost in the insanity of this wonderland that you will realize just how dangerous the jungle can really be.
