The abrupt sound of splashing water filled the air, echoing past the waterfall and though the delicate maple tree forest, ruthless and signifying the presence of another. A black shape was recoiling away from a small pool of crystal water, the surface shimmering with the light from the slowly setting sun. Dusk was fast apporaching, and after a day of wandering and bittersweet solitude, she just couldn't take it any more. A short growl rumbled from her chest, and a pair of fierce amber eyes shot around her surroundings, ears pricking simply out of habit over her head. Jaeda, so new to these lands, had to be on her guard. Black nose twitched restlessly, eyes flashing as they continued to scout out until she was certain that she was alone for the time being.
A ghostly whisper filled her ears, and her head snapped to the side, fur bristling angrily along her haunches and spine. In the distance, farther back in the pool and near the water fall was a silvery shadow, shimmering, dancing and flickering in the light breeze. The sinner wasn't stupid; she knew who it was, she knew about her powers, she knew that she should get out of there. Muscles bunched before she sprang in the opposite directions, the beautiful leaves of the maple trees decorating the short distance to her getaway. She cascaded through the air, fur of ebony night pushing back before she landed on the ground, thick paws meeting the surface with an approving thud. She didn't pause, didn't hesitate, before she bolted towards the forest, sharp eyes fixated on her destination, the only place she needed to be. Actually, anywhere away from that pool would be an oasis right now.
She finally got deep into the forest, and she slowly brought herself to a quick walk, her long tail moving in sync with her rocking hips. A slight pant filled the air, sending small puffs of hot air into the space around her. Winter had arrived like a punch to the get, but Jaeda was thankful that the lands where she dwelled were free of snow; even if she did enjoy the colder seasons, she needed to get knew to this land first without having to deal with the colder climate and snow. Understandable, right?
Senses started to calm, breathe lightening as she caught her breath, and soon enough she took her place by one of the larger trees, towering above most of the others and declaring itself a resting place for all who needed it. And damn, did Jaeda need it. Legs bent and folded inward as she let herself lower to the ground, flank pressing against the cool bark soundlessly, her pelt ruffling as she shifted and wobbled to get herself comfortable. Finally she was, and she inclined her head to rub the side of her muzzle against the tree, leaving just a pinch of her scent behind when she'd leave in good time. She wouldn't be staying for long, she was trying to catch her breath, and soon she'd be on her way again.
Silence crept into the air, and she was finally done with it. She was good and ready to go again, limb unfolding to bring her back into a standing position. A small, faint yawn crept its way from the female’s throat, and with a brisk shake of her head and stretch of her limbs, she slowly brought herself back into a walk, creeping around the thin structures of the trees, paws moving in a steady rhythm as they hit themselves against the chilled ground. Having no snow didn’t mean that she didn’t experience a drop in the temperature; that, she was still suffering from, though it probably wasn’t as harsh as it was in other parts of the land. Such as the pack lands.
Packs, she really saw no point to them; why fall under the command of another? You were your own being, and shouldn’t have to take orders from another. She had been birthed into a pack of her own – she wouldn’t deny that – and she had met her previous mate and grown up there. She had many fond memories, but thinking back at it now, she had lacked much freedom. Wolves needed freedom and occasional solitude, and the pack life couldn’t always give you that. She didn’t want to think of that though – her past – so with a shake to her thoughts and a low murmur to her head she was able to focus on something else; what she was going to do.
She still didn’t know, but she was left to ponder and think, brain-storming different ideas just so that she didn’t wander off to a lower, sander subject for her. She wasn’t very observant at the moment, and if one were to come along, they’d probably catch her by surprise. Depending how they brought themselves forward would determine the outcome of Jaeda’s reaction, however. If someone did stumble across her, she’d be rather happy – even if she didn’t show it – because she needed the company and some allies in this new land would be good for her well being.

Though, he wasn't sure that would ever be possible. Everyone he had ever met, somehow he had watched them suffer and fear him. And, that hurt him. So, in the end, friends was what he wanted, but he knew it couldn't really happen in the end, without causing pain. Maybe he would try again. He might be able to, say, control himself. HOwever, his split personality made it just a little hard.
Lonliness had no bounds, but it does take pity. For certain souls. Would that be the case now? Could it be the case? For, a scent drifted into Vyxion's nose. The Beast Alae took it in.His gaze drifted to the blue hue in the sky, and snorted once. Perhaps this hue wasn't to bad? The scent made him follow it, out of curiousity and hope. Vyxion smiled on his way. He didn't know what it was, but he had that hope perhaps this wolf could heal him of his past. Could help him control his.... Bad habbits and maybe, they could be friends?
Soon, Vyxion spotted a black shadow. The outline was indeed the scent he had followed. Vyxion couldn't help but take a paw step closer... Another one.... Yet another.... Vyxion Beast Alae prayed nothing would go wrong. Don't let her flee, don't let her attack... Let the share something in common? Perhaps that'll give Vyxion some hope in his life.
"Er.... Why, hello there." Vyxion barked almost soundlessly. The scent told Vyxion it was a female, so he was just a little shy. He hadn't been around one since Lillith. Fenrir let this go well! He didn't intend to scare her, or make her run. Niether try to attack. He was only being friendly. Hopefully...He didn't have to hurt her.

Her head snapped to the side, the sound of a voice shattering her thoughts and sending her into a state of confusion and shock, which let to slight annoyance. Fur bristled along her haunches momentarily, body whipping around to better face this creature that had now direction their attention to her. Black silhouette danced and flicker as she moved, the setting sun casting a golden glow across the maple forest. Tail flickering out of habit behind her, her invisible brow rising in what could have been accusation. She took a moment to observe the other, taking in the color of his pelt, his stature, and the way he presented himself. He didn’t appear to be a threat, but then again, you could never be quite too sure; when was the last time she had decided to trust someone upon a first encounter? She couldn’t even recall.
“Hm, hello.” She said rather curtly, short and simple and voice not portraying much emotion. Monotone, it was, though with the same, smooth tone to it, with that pinch of roughness that gave her a rather unique voice. However, that wasn’t the matter at hand; she was cautious, like always, and the wheels in her brain turned, coming up with a small little plan to say and act out depending on what happened next. No, she couldn’t trust him – she didn’t even know his name, and that was hardly enough anyways – and she was proud to say that she had learned from her mistakes.
Tongue oozed from in between her jaws, slithering around to lick quickly around her chops, leaving bits of saliva in its wake, hanging in the furs of her muzzle, only to stretch, slink and then fall to the ground a few moments later. She let a coy little smile cover up her perfectly dark muzzle, dainty with that sultry feminine appeal, taunting and playful. Maybe she’d play the flirt card this evening? It was so much more fun then the sour, ugly and ruthless one … hm, yes; she decided on that, it would very much make this night enjoyable and help her get on top of her game.
“What’s a strong looking male like you doing all alone? I would think you had a pack and family of your own to scurry off to and spend the night with.” She said sweetly, batting her eyes innocently and letting her voice take a new turn to it; dainty, quirky and maybe a pinch of sexiness? Oh, just maybe, if the brute got lucky. It was a very different emotion concluding her voice then it had been with her first set of words, but it would defiantly sweep away her first impression on him and make it something quite memorable, she’d say.
She swayed from side to side on top of her set of front paws, eyes watching him with a sort of curiosity lingering within them. She was a little rusty with all these shenanigans, and she was confident in trying to get them back up to the top, where no one could see past her wall. This was her test subject, and she was making sure to watch him carefully. Sure, she knew nothing about him, and that only made her more wary. Not everyone responded to same way to her actions or words, and she was in the midst of learning that. What this one like the others, or was he different? Different, she’d hope; but being the same would serve surprise too.
She wasn’t always like this; once upon a time, she was as sweet and caring as any female usually is, but since she’d had a rather rocky past, that Jaeda is long and gone, hidden in the depths of her soul, surrounded by a thick barrier of steel. She was determined to start over, and even if she often questioned her methods of a new life, she had already started. She didn’t want to be normal; normal people got forgotten. She wanted to be remembered, she wanted to be known. And if this was the only way to do it, so be it.
