T H E D R E AN I S N T D O N E Her graceful, lithe body made not a sound as she wisped through the chest high grasses, her blue rimmed emerald eyes blazing as the landscape before her began to make itself visible. When she reached the top of a sandy dune, she let out a deep breath she hadn’t realized she had been holding. It was a massive body of water, that went as far as the eye could see, with a few gulls flying above. Lucas forgotten, she began to trot closer to the water, her ears and tail perked in excitement. ‘Hey, wait up Emmy!’
Her brother’s voice called out behind her and she skidded to a stop, her teeth flashing in a smile. “For a dead guy, you’re pretty slow.” His bright yellow eyes flashed in anger for a moment, but it went away just ask quickly. Even though a year has passed, the siblings were still burned by what had happened. Emille sighed and shook her head, silently apologizing to him. He shrugged it off and continued on towards the crashing waves, leaving her where she was standing.
The small, slender Quietus wolf sat on her haunches, her tail wrapping around her nimble paws as she watched her dead brother try to play in the water, to only have his paws simmer through it like the ghost he was.
Closing her eyes, she forgot about their long journey and relished the salty-air with a deep breath. And after, she got back onto her feet, closing her eyes and bracing her body against the rough breeze that whipped sand into her fur and eyes. When the buffet of wind ceased, she continued on, her heart pounding in her chest the close the came to the edge of the powerful waves of water. Eyes glistening with excitement, she stepped into the water, to only jump out with a squeal of surprise and delight. “It’s cold!” she yelled to her brother over the loud, buffeting wind that never seemed to end. The white wolf, with a blue-speckled face came up behind his sister, his eyes narrowed. ‘It is winter, you know right? Did you expect it to be bubbling with warmth?’
“Oh don’t be a pansy.” She mumbled, swatting the water with her right paw. She looked over her right shoulder at him, mesmerized at how perfect he looked, even in death. His markings still remained, but not a mark on his body from where he had been attacked. While, on the other hand, Emille suffered with a bad limp and scars. Part of her was jealous due to this, but it couldn’t get any worse. Her brother was dead. “Where do you think we are?” she asked more quietly, knowing from the scents she caught earlier that it was possible they were trespassing onto another’s land. ‘How would I know?’
She rolled her eyes and looked back towards the horizon with the setting sun, the sky pink and blue with white puffy clouds. She had never seen such a beautiful thing, but the tri-colored wolf didn’t want to stay here for too long; she didn’t want to get attached. So, with a sigh, she turned around and looked at her brother, who chased a crab on the shore; a crab that didn’t know he was there. She laughed quietly, a soft, gentle laugh like her voice and turned away from the ocean to find a place to rest for the night. She found it, a small hole dug into the dune, and sat before it, watching the sun set as Lucas came up beside her, his ghostly figure faded into the background.

[bg=000000][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,434,true] | [atrb=background,http://i45.tinypic.com/n5kd9z.png] It was pure wonder as to why the dark male would find himself in this sort of place now. He had no desire to wander along the shores of this unknown territory, though here he was. Worry began to overwhelm him all at once and he grunted harshly as he looked about once, his golden eyes reflecting the setting sun. Narrowing those very same eyes, he looked away from the west and looked out over the ocean. What was it that drew him to the sounds of gulls laughing over head and the sounds of waves kissing the shore harshly? He snorted, looked away and continued forward without another glance back. His large paws sunk into the sand as he moved, causing difficulty as he climbed the dunes. Sand pushed away from each of his steps, breaking away and he gritted his teeth in frustration of the loose earth.
Cerberus raised his head to the sky again as he paused on the top of the dune and looked out over the sparkling water once. He watched the colors dance through the sky and play a song that was mute just as himself. Without thought, he moved forward again and decended from the dune, sliding to the bottom. His ears went flat against his head and his nose wrinkled in distaste of the soft sand and he made his way towards the water.
Wind rushed across the open sea, slaughtering his side with frost. He winced softly against the cold, but pushed on ever more. Raising an eyebrow, he looked about quickly before stopping and allowing the water to wash over his black paws. Clearing his throat, he attempted to toughen himself against the freezing water, but there was no hope for that. He backed away quickly, shaking his body in hopes of regaining warmth he had lost. Lowering his head in a stalking manner, he pushed forth against the unforgiving wind.
Muscles tensed under his coat and rippled as he walked. Strength shown through with each step and desperation for a place to stay for the night began to become apparent in his golden eyes. His hackles bristled as the wind switched directions and blew another scent towards him. He turned quickly, his glowing eyes sparkling again in the fading sun. Colors were becoming more and more apparent as the night began to allow it's curtain to fall. He turned his head to the side, staring at the hole in the dune. Someone was either there or had just recently been there. His tail flicked behind him, though he thought better than to take up a defense. Though this land was free to roam, he was still walking on boarders of pack lands. It would be unwise to meddle about.
Turning away from the dune quickly, he stepped to the side and looked to the sky, hoping for the sun to fade completely. He looked to his paws which had icicles clinging to them due to the wind and he shivered once before searching the beach again for shelter.

T H E D R E AN I S N T D O N E Emille shouldn’t have walked away from the spot she had claimed as her shelter. When she sauntered away in means of finding food, she didn’t realize that someone else was there; she was too focused on her growling stomach. She returned, a semi-full belly from a seagull who ventured too close, to only find that she wasn’t alone; alone as in, she wasn’t the only one with a beating heart. She watched him from afar, her ears laid back against her skull, her green eyes looking from the black figure to the ocean. She sighed, her tail and body swinging back and forth as she shifted from foot to foot in her standing position as she debated over and over on whether she should approach or not.
Feeling like she should, to at least let him know that was her spot for the night, she approached quietly, barely making a sound as she seemed to float towards him. When she was close enough for him to hear her, she said, “Hello.”
Quite simple, yes, but a good way for someone who normally didn’t speak to other’s to start a conversation to a stranger. Em eyed the stranger warily as she continued to get closer, taking note of how bright his eyes were, and how his hair seemed so silky. She psued, one paw in the air and one ear cocked as her brother whispered in her ear a cautious warning for her to be careful, and she glared at him from the corner of her eyes, her hackles standing on end. “Don’t baby me,” she hissed. And the white wolf shrugged his faded shoulders, walking along her side as she finally came close enough to really see him.
She stood here, continuously shifting from foot to foot, and quietly clicking her jaws together. “Um,” she said. Um? She thought. Is that all you can think of? She sighed, “That’s my shelter for the night,” she paused, looking over at her brother and then back at the stranger. “We can share?” the rest of her statement came out very, very quietly, and she looked away as her brother began to scold her. But, to the black wolf, he would only see her turning her head, as if embarrassed. And, in this case, she was. But she also had a dead wolf nagging in her ear. Her scarred and intricately marked face brought itself back to Cerberus and she thought quietly, He’s cute. But he could be dangers. For safety sake, she took a step back away from him, to keep herself safe and give him his personal space.
“I’m Emille.”
‘Oh, so you tell him your name now?!’ Lucas mocked in her ear. ‘Why don’t you go ahead and have babies?!’ Despise the situation, she looked to her brother and laughed quietly, shaking her head as she trotted away in anger. That’s when she remembered she wasn’t alone. Tensing, she looked at Cerberus from the corner in her eye; did he suspect anything?
